Food and nutrition is highly interlinked with good health; not only does it ensure that we are able to perform our day-to-day activities, but is also crucial in preventing or mediating disease in the population. Human nutrition studies the relationship that nutrients and substances in foods have with health and disease. Helmed by 2 PIs and 2 lecturers, the human nutrition research group has a wide range of research interests, including diet and metabolism, chronic disease, nutritional physiology, nutritional biochemistry, food toxicology and dietary bioactives.
