For MSc. in Food Science & Human Nutrition by Coursework

Qualification

  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree (with Honours or its equivalent) majoring in Food Science/Technology/Engineering and Nutrition; or
  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree majoring in Food Science/Technology/Engineering and Nutrition with at least 2 years of relevant work experience; or
  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree majoring in the following areas - chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, biomedical engineering, agricultural engineering, agricultural product storage and processing, biotechnology, biological sciences, pharmacy, microbiology, nutrition, dietetics, physiology, agriculture and horticulture with at least two years of relevant work experience.

 

International students whose mother tongue is not English or whose tertiary education is not conducted in English must have a TOEFL score of  ≥85 (Internet-based) or a IELTS score of ≥ 6.0.

Important: The University has not engage any external agencies to undertake graduate student recruitment on its behalf. Candidates interested in our graduate programmes are advised to apply directly to the University and not through any agents. Candidates who apply through agents will not have any added advantage in gaining admission and the University reserves the right to reject such applications without giving reasons.

Programme intake


There are two intakes per academic year, in August and January. First intake is to commence in Aug 2018.
Applications are open from 1 December of the previous year to 15 March for the August intake, and from 1 June to 15 September for the January intake.

Only the shortlisted applicants will be advised further. Successful candidates will be notified of the outcome by end June (August intake) or end November (January intake). The result of the application evaluation is final and no appeal will be entertained.  

Tuition Fees

The total course fee for the whole MSc by Coursework Programme is SGD $33,300 (based on 40 MCs worth of modules) excluding 7% GST and miscellaneous fees. Fee Payment shall be made at the beginning of every semester based on the number of MCs read. The total tuition fees for both full-time and part-time candidates are the same.
